Why Stella?

Did you know that skin cancer is the most common form of cancer? The rates of Melanoma are rising faster than any other type of cancer! 76,000 Americans are diagnosed with melanoma, one every eight minutes and more than 9,470 Americans die of melanoma one every hour. Overexposure to UV rays causes 90% of skin cancers.

How can we resolve this issue?

Skin cancer is the most preventable form of cancer and for this reason, we believe that we can provide a new solution for people to protect themselves from overexposure to UV rays. It is nearly impossible to identify the sun's intensity precisely. When we should seek shade and or apply SPF is almost a gamble. Stella measures the invisible, all each user has to do is download our mobile app, select their skin type and form of protection and allow Stella do the rest.

Aside from skin cancer, overexposure can cause cataracts, wrinkling, skin color discoloration, moles, freckles, sagging, and sunspots. Various Doctors also claim that overexposure to UV rays will cause a greater senescence to internal organs.

So we’ve created a simple preventative way for people to protect themselves and others from overexposure to UV rays.

Stella is a wearable that measures UV rays so that you may protect yourself from being overexposure under the sun. Stella does this by using your skin type and form of protection (SPF). Our wearable is complemented by an app, where each user can customize their profiles. Knowing when you need to seek shade and or apply sunblock, enables you to have peace of mind under the sun.

Our Market is broad yet well identified. It consists of skin cancer victims, people with sun related allergies, women, parents, outdoor workers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Please subscribe or follow Stella Wearables, so we may notify you when we begin pre-orders.
